IV hydration therapy delivers fluid, electrolytes, and selected vitamins directly into a vein. At Revival Health & Wellness Clinic, IV therapy is offered for elective wellness purposes — recovery, hydration support, vitamin replenishment — and is administered in-office by Crea Rose, FNP-BC after a brief consultation and screening.
This is a wellness service, not a substitute for medical care. We’re transparent about what the published evidence supports and what it doesn’t.

WHAT IV HYDRATION THERAPY IS FOR
Patients use IV therapy for:
- Acute dehydration after illness, travel, exercise, or alcohol
- Vitamin and mineral replenishment when oral absorption is limited or lifestyle is depleting
- Recovery support during high-output athletic seasons
- Pre-event preparation (long flights, athletic events, weddings)
- General wellness intervals during demanding periods
For acute medical dehydration — vomiting, severe diarrhea, signs of shock — go to an emergency department, not a wellness clinic. We can rehydrate patients who are functional but suboptimal; we are not equipped to manage acutely ill patients.
Our IV menu. We currently offer:
- Myers’ Cocktail — the classic vitamin / mineral blend
- Immune Boost — high-dose vitamin C, zinc, B vitamins
- Hangover / Rehydration — fluid replacement plus anti-nausea support
- Athletic Recovery — amino acids and electrolytes for performance recovery
- NAD+ IV — separately from our injection program (see NAD+ Injections)
- Beauty / Glow — glutathione and biotin
- Custom-formulated — tailored to your goals after a brief consultation
Pricing varies by formulation and add-ons. Call (618) 740-2240 for current per-bag pricing or to discuss package options.
AVAILABLE FORMULATIONS
We offer several base formulations and adjust based on your symptoms and goals during consultation:
- Hydration base — IV saline with electrolytes for fluid replacement. The simplest and most evidence-supported option.
- Myers’ cocktail — a saline base with magnesium, calcium, B-complex vitamins, B12, and vitamin C. The most-studied “wellness IV” formulation; commonly used for fatigue, migraine, and post-illness recovery.
- Recovery / immune support — Myers’ base with additional vitamin C; used during cold/flu season or after intense physical exertion.
- Beauty / glow — Myers’ base with biotin and additional vitamin C and B-complex for skin/hair support.
- Energy — Myers’ base with extra B-complex and amino acid additions for fatigue support.
Add-ons such as additional B12, glutathione, or magnesium can be discussed during consultation. We do not offer non-medical “designer” infusions that aren’t supported by reasonable clinical rationale.
WHAT TO EXPECT
- Brief intake. First-time patients complete a screening form covering medical history, kidney/liver status, allergies, current medications, and pregnancy status. We then discuss which formulation is appropriate.
- Vital signs. Blood pressure and pulse before and after. We do not infuse if vital signs raise concern.
- IV start. A small catheter is placed in an arm vein. Infusion runs over 30–45 minutes for most formulations. You can read, work, or rest during the drip.
- Aftercare. Most patients leave feeling more hydrated; some report increased energy or mental clarity. Drink water with meals for the rest of the day.
WHO IS A CANDIDATE
Adults who are:
- Generally healthy
- Not currently acutely ill
- Without significant kidney, heart, or fluid-balance disease
- Not pregnant (some formulations require additional caution)
- Comfortable with needles and a 45-minute time commitment
RISKS, SIDE EFFECTS, AND CONTRAINDICATIONS
Common minor reactions include cool sensation along the vein during infusion, vein irritation, mild headache (especially with magnesium-containing formulations), and brief flushing.
Less common reactions include allergic responses to one of the additives, infiltration at the IV site (fluid leaking into tissue), or vasovagal episodes (light-headedness during venipuncture).
Contraindications include:
- Significant chronic kidney disease — IV fluids and minerals require functional kidneys to clear safely
- Congestive heart failure or other fluid-overload-prone conditions
- Untreated hypertension above safe thresholds
- Known hypersensitivity to any component of the formulation
- Active acute illness requiring emergency-level care
If you have any of the above, IV therapy is not the right choice; we’ll redirect you to appropriate medical care or a different supportive option.
FDA STATUS
The saline, electrolytes, and vitamins we use are individually FDA-approved for clinical hydration and parenteral nutrition. Their use as an elective wellness intervention — Myers’ cocktails, “energy” drips, etc. — is off-label. The FDA has not approved any IV vitamin therapy as a treatment for fatigue, immune support, beauty, or any specific medical condition. Individual response varies, and we do not present IV therapy as a cure or treatment for any disease.
COST AND INSURANCE
IV hydration therapy is self-pay. Wellness-indication IV therapy is not insurance-covered. We will provide pricing during consultation; cost varies by formulation. HSA/FSA payment may be acceptable depending on your administrator’s policies.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How often can I do IV therapy?
Most patients who incorporate IV therapy use it intermittently — once a month or less, or around specific events. We don’t recommend frequent or open-ended use; if you find you “need” weekly IV therapy to feel functional, that’s a flag for an underlying issue we should evaluate, not a reason for more drips.
Is the Myers’ cocktail evidence-based?
The Myers’ cocktail has more clinical literature behind it than most wellness IVs, including small studies in fibromyalgia, migraine, and asthma. The data is mixed. Some patients respond, some don’t. We use it because it’s the most defensible wellness formulation, not because we believe it’s a cure.
What about IV NAD+?
We offer NAD+ as a subcutaneous injection rather than IV. See our NAD+ Injection page for details.
Can I drive after IV therapy?
Yes. Most patients feel normal or better after the infusion. We monitor you for several minutes after the IV is removed; if you feel unusual at all, we extend the observation.
Will IV therapy “boost my immune system” before flu season?
It will hydrate you and provide vitamins. Whether that meaningfully reduces your risk of catching the flu is not established by clinical trials. Vaccination, sleep, and hand hygiene have stronger evidence. IV therapy is supportive, not preventive in any rigorous sense.
SCHEDULE AN IV THERAPY VISIT
Call (618) 740-2240 to schedule. New patients should plan an extra 10–15 minutes for the initial intake. Same-week appointments are usually available.

FDA status & intended use.
IV vitamin and hydration therapy is not approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration as a treatment for any specific medical condition. The vitamins, minerals, and saline used are FDA-approved for clinical hydration; their use as an elective wellness intervention is off-label. Individual response varies. Patients with kidney disease, heart failure, or fluid-restriction conditions should disclose these to Crea Rose, FNP-BC before treatment. IV hydration therapy is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.
